and aaaa the final result is just so so perfect it's just every reason i love them as a pairing they're not some overly sweet schmoopy couple but they're rough around the edges and still manage to be adorable in that awkward way I LOVE THE INCLUSION OF SAM IN THIS FIC, being all brotherly and adorable AND BRO MOMENT

"Come here," he whispers, and after a moment he can feel Cas tentatively shift, tangling their legs together before drawing close again. Cas' breath is warm on his collarbone, comforting. Dean falls asleep to Cas' touch, to the feeling of sigils being traced on his back and a soft kiss pressed to his throat. and this ENDING THIS ENDING i love cuddly sleeping but at the same time the sigils are such an adorable detail and i love how this fic is all rough and bloody and COMFORTING and cute in it and i love dean's guilt over cas because i always feel he has this push pull of feeling so terribly terribly guilty over it but at the same time unworthy and kind of angry cas did it for HIM
