sashaying through the sarcasm

After some emails and texts last night, I picked up this guy this morning :D Original owner was going to let it go, their friend/acquaintance wasn't cool with that and took it from them and rehomed him to me. She has no idea on age, what he's eating, when he last ate, any of that stuff; just that original owners were doing it all wrong. She said he's a king snake, but the more I look at pics online, the more I'm leaning towards a red milk snake (because it's the closest match I've gotten yet, and I have next to no experience with all the various subspecies and morphs out there).
